As Mayor of Brooklyn Park, I am proud to endorse and support Financial Education of Minnesota’s application for the Bank On Fellowship Program. As Minnesota’s first minority-majority city, Brooklyn Park is uniquely positioned to benefit from and contribute to the program’s mission of improving financial stability for unbanked and underbanked individuals and families. With a rapidly growing population that reflects a rich tapestry of cultures and backgrounds, we recognize the critical importance of building strong, locally led partnerships between public officials, financial institutions, and community organizations. Together, we can create meaningful access to banking services that empower our residents and strengthen the economic fabric of our city.
